WORLD SERIES CHAMPS

• October 30, 2019- ““SWING AND A MISS! SWING AND A MISS! SWING AND A MISS! AND A WORLD SERIES GAME 7 WINNING CURLY W IS IN THE BOOKS! THE CELEBRATION IS ON! THE WASHINGTON NATIONALS ARE THE WORLD CHAMPIONS! REMEMBER WHERE YOU ARE!” This day will always be a day we will never forget. Why? Because we are world champs! Can you believe it? I mean really? Can you believe it? For the better part of 15 or so years this seemed impossible. It seemed like a dream. It seemed as if it would never happen after year after year of heartbreak. From watching hundreds of games on tv and in person it all came down to Game 7 on October 30,2019. And the #Nats put their big boy pants on and knocked off arguably the best team ever in a World Series. The cojones they showed through 5 elimination games and trailing in them is nothing short of miraculous. Don’t forget about how much it took to win the World Series. Getting into the playoffs as a wildcard. Down 3-1 to the Brewers in the 8th. Getting a lucky bounce on a laser hit by Soto then ultimately beating the Brewers just to advance out of the wildcard. Only to face the juggernaut Los Angeles Dodgers. That series went to a game 5 on the road. Down 3-1 again the back to back jacks by Rendon and Soto then coupled by a grand salami by HOWIE Kendrick finally allowed the #Nats to advance past the division series. Only to then face the long time nemesis St. Louis Cardinals. All they did was make quick work to them bamas with a 4 game sweep 🧹. They advanced then to the World Series And waiting for them was the almighty Houston Astros. #Nats were serious under dogs. The series would ultimately go to a game 7. And again the #Nats were down 2-0 getting shut down but what happened next? Rendon went big fly cutting the lead in half. Soto walked. Greinke got pulled. And HOWIE made history with a 2 run oppo taco off the foul pole to give the #Nats a 3-2 lead and the #Nats would win the dang thing. But hey I could’ve told u it would happen. Don’t believe me well here are some of my tweets and peep 👀 the dates Lol ok so maybe it wasn’t just bc of the tweets. Maybe it was bc of me burning Harper’s jersey and pissing on it. Maybe it was me making a Harper effigy out of a bleacher creature that finally appeased the baseball gods. Or maybe it was me praying to the baseball gods day after day and during the game that did it? 😂 or maybe it was this. I have to share with you how I watched the playoffs all together. Just to clarify I am THE BIGGEST SUPERSTITIOUS FAN OUT THERE. Want to know why? It started this season. when the #Nats started playing I watched every pitch of every game as much as I could. The #Nats tho went 19-31. I said to myself I have got to take a step back and not watch as much. What happened then? We all know what happened they went on a historical run and ended up with 92 wins. Another thing I would do is follow the game on twitter instead of watching. When the #Nats would get close tho I would then start watching the game. Only for them to blow it somehow. So I stopped doing that. And low and behold instead of actually watching the game I would only see updates on my phone through twitter or the mlb app. I would also watch the game albeit on a delay on my tv 📺 phone app. And magically the #Nats would win. It was incredible. So that’s what I did when the #Nats made the playoffs. I didn’t change my approach. In fact I still have the periscopes of me watching the games on my phone app on a delay instead of my tv. Every elimination game I watched and periscoped on a delay. The wildcard game when Soto has that hit and it took the funny hop. Game 5 of the Dodgers series I periscoped we would come back somehow even tho Walker was dealing. The Cards #Nats game 4 game I watched on delay and they clinched a berth to the World Series. And finally game 6 and game 7 of the World Series I made sure not to watch live when I was at home. I watched on my phone app on a delay and the #Nats finished the fight. Unreal and probably not the exact reason why #Nats won but hey I liked to think it was. Baseball is a game of superstitious things and I made sure to go along with them. So all in all it was an amazing year #Nats fans. Something that we all dreamed about and it finally game to life. Congrats 🍾 to all of us. Amen.
